Fellowship Digital Europe: The workshops available for download
Our Fellows' workshops are now available
Together with the Schwarzkopf Foundation Young Europe, the Alfred Herrhausen Gesellschaft has awarded four scholarships to young European educators who have been working on the topics of digital public sphere and participation of young people in Europe for the past six months. During this time, the stipend recipients have developed new workshop formats and put them into practice within the framework of the Understanding Europe education network.
Their educational offers are aimed at pupils aged 13 and older with the goal of enabling them to participate democratically in the digital space in an interactive way. The newly developed didactic approaches are accessible and diversity-oriented and geared to the interests and realities of young people.
With the development and implementation of these new formats, we want to strengthen the democratic competences of students and young adults in the digital space. The workshops should enable them to deal with the opportunities and risks of digital communication. They create a space for reflection and discussion for young Europeans.
The workshop materials were published on 23.11.2021 at our launch event: #GoingViral: How young Europeans can foster democratic values in the digital space and discussed with Daniel Freund (Member of the European Parliament) and youth policy and political education expert Ajša Hadžibegović.
